Castaway Profile

Zoe King

Zoe is a castaway from Survivor: Grand Rapids - Fresh Meat and is currently a castaway on Survivor: Grand Rapids - Bad Blood.

Zoe started the game on Ionia tribe and immediately found herself in the line of fire. When getting the buffs, she found a clue to an idol and mistakenly began reading it in front of her tribe before realizing what she was doing and putting it away. Back at camp, some of her tribemates became suspicious. Zoe knew the idol was hidden at the challenge and confided in Juliana, Hannah, and Jen to help her get it. But little did she know that Mark read the clue over her shoulder and was conspiring to get it for himself. At the challenge, Mark pushed for Ryan to cut the sand bags, costing Zoe her idol.

However, the Ionia tribe continued a winning streak and Zoe forged a tighter bond with the girls, especially Jen. In the last challenge of the day, both girls won joint immunity protecting them from tribal But on Day 2, a tribe swap shook the game up and placed Zoe on New Ionia with 4 former Ionia and 4 former Cascade members. After losing the challenge, Zoe tried to work with Tom but ended up putting herself on his radar. Her name was quickly spread to the other former Cascade members. Once Kyle was flipped, her fate was sealed and she was sent home in a blindside.

In 2023, Zoe returned to the backyard for redemption. She is currently competing on Survivor: Grand Rapids - Bad Blood.

How have you changed since the last time you played?: I have gained a better appreciation for Survivor. I have watched so many more seasons and have been able to reflect on my experience and plan out what I would do differently.

Favorite Past Moment: The whole things was honestly a favorite life moment. To Narrow it down, I think winning all the group immunity challenges was just so fun.

What are you most proud of from the last time you played?: I am most proud of the partner challenge I won with Jen! While it was a partner challenge, I think I proved that I could be strong in physical challenges if I needed to. Also, I knew I wanted to work with Jen from the beginning and I think that set us up to be great partners in the game if there wouldn't have been a swap. Oh and winning immunity.

What, if anything, do you most regret? So many things. I feel like I made fatal mistakes like showing everyone my idol clue.... then letting mark and Ryan gaslight me into letting them get MY idol during the challenge. Then bringing up alliances to Tom when we swapped and putting all my faith into the alliance I thought I had with mark after the swap

How will you play differently this time? I realize now that I have to pay attention to what everyone is doing. I was way too involved in the people I talked to and clung to one alliance to trust, so when we swapped I was left with only one person to strategize with and that left me getting voted out.

This time, I want to build more strategic relationships and be open to many alliances and strategies.

How are you going to play the game? I still am going to try to play a strong social game. But I want to make more strategic relationships. Last time I liked everyone and was friendly with most people, but was too caught up in having an alliance, that I became blind to everything else going on around me. I also want to be a little sneaky myself this time. I think it might work out better for me.

How do you feel playing as a veteran? I am nervous to be a veteran. I want this to be my redemption and be able to play harder and use the mistakes I made to drive my decisions this time. I also hope people don’t see me as a threat. If they watched me, they probably won’t because I didn’t really know what I was doing, but maybe they’ll want to work with me because of experience? We will see!
