Castaway Profile

John is a castaway on Survivor: Dearborn - Season 1 and Survivor: Dearborn Heroes vs Villains.

John was one of the first people cast on Season 1 and almost immediately was targeted. His physical prowess outside of the game elevated his status to be one of the biggest competitors, forcing him to play hard from the first minute. He proved himself to be an asset in challenges premerge and narrowly escaped the two tribals he did attend. At the merge, his name was on everyone's mind, but managed to pull out an immunity win - sparing him from elimination. From that point, he relied on his social and strategic game to maneuver round to round. He played an idol at the final six, sending the game into the first rock draw. John's luck ran out and was voted out at the Final 5

In 2019, John returned as a Hero for Survivor: Dearborn's finale season. He played a quiet premerge game, only going to tribal 4 times. During this time, he was making strong bonds with his fellow castaways, with his closest being Ashley Mark. Once the merge hit, he used his connections to make subtle big moves, sending big names to the jury. Eventually, John became the biggest name and was targeted at the Final 9 by Charlie Rich. He tried to reciprocate, but was voted out in 9th place.

John returned on production for Survivor: Grand Rapids, helping out on the camera crew and the head challenge engineer.
